My name is Sonia Thandi. I am a 23 year old female, who is looking to make a lifestyle change that I can maintain. During the week days I work full time as a customs broker, and on weekends is my relaxing time....well, the time I get to do all my chores and socialize. I have been working hard to lose weight and get fit for so many months, and I get minimal results. I have tried Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, cabbage soup diet....and exercise....and just recently I am seeing results. I have lost about 7lbs in the last month or so, got a really good kick start from the cabbage soup diet, going to the gym and eating lots of fruits and vegetables. I am desperately seeking a healthy lifestyle, but am getting different advise and opinions that just don't seem to go anywhere. I am looking for realistic changes to make in my life. I have quit smoking for over 2months now, and feel great about that achievement,  however, the my weight is my biggest issue. I weigh approximately 145lbs and am 5' 2....this is not something I am happy with. I used to be 104lbs, but throughout the years...things have changed. I faced 2 back surgeries which really brought me down. I am looking to get fit and healthy...not simply to be 'skinny,' but to look and feel energized and healthy  from day to day. I know this is hard work but I feel that I am ready to face this challenge with all that I've got. I know my application was late, I just recently heard about this from my friend who also entered this challenge (Melissa Mann), she had forwarded me the e-mail in regards to the Feb 8th meeting. I will be attending that night, so I hope that I haven't missed out on a great opportunity and look forward to the meeting on Saturday. Thanks for your time in reading this and I'll talk to you soon.
