This will be my first journal entry since
the beginning of the challenge - bad, and
sad as well! So since I missed out on all
of the beginning, I'm going to jump right in
here, and pretend I've been doing this all
along. :)
It was really nice getting to meet a bit
more of the group on Sunday at the rock
climbing event. I may not have got very
high on the climb, but it was nice to get
out nonetheless, and my arms hurt from
belaying below! I hope to make it out to
more of the functions.
A group of us from work started doing the
Grouse Grind weekly five weeks back. We've
had to cancel one week in there, but so far
we've been doing well.
Week 1: 2 hours 30 minutes
Week 2: 1 hour 29 minutes (I broke the 1.5
hour mark!)
Week 3: 1 hour 25 minutes
and this week, the fourth we've made it up,
1 hour 14 minutes! Woohoo! I shaved a
whole 11 minutes off my time this week!
To anyone who hasn't tried the Grind, I
highly suggest it, It feels like sheer pain
all the way up, but the view at the top is
worth it, plus bragging rights never hurt
anyone!
