It
does not matter how beautiful your babies are,
they still make your body anything but. I
hoped that breastfeeding would help dissolve the
20 pounds and undo some of the stretching that
happened since the first, but in spite of the
lifting, shuffling and bustling with the
children, everything continues to sag. It
would be nice to regain the pre pregnancy figure
I had and I’m sure my husband would not mind
either.
I
am at home five days of the week with my kids,
and it’s great, but it sure
takes its toll at the end of the day. I am
exhausted and by the time the kids are in bed, I
have little energy left for my husband or
myself. I’m hopeful a 16 week program
will set me on the direction of a healthy
lifestyle that will give me the energy to enjoy
the whole day and everyone in it.
Recently,
my mother-in-law was injured in a car accident
and last year, my grandmother fell off her bed
and was in recuperation for almost a year.
As a woman, I realize it is very important to
exercise to help maintain strength and bone
density to protect oneself from injuries common
to women. Maybe more importantly, I’d
like to be around and in great shape when it
comes time to look after my kid’s kids.
My
goals would be to lose 20 pounds and develop the
habits to maintain an exercise program. I
am often able to start an exercise program, but
after three to five weeks, something comes up
and I’m instantly back to my old habits.
The
greatest challenge for me is finding the time to
exercise and the motivation to do it. I
really want to do it, but I just don’t feel
like it, if you know what I mean.
It
would be great if my husband and I could be
chosen for your challenge (so we could support
each other through it), but if not, I would
still like to challenge Bodies ‘n Motion to
coach me along a healthier path.
