Thursday, -30 minutes cardio, worked my lower body on the program for the first time, I am using a ball against the wall for squats, helps keep my back straight, enjoyed the workout , finding it tougher to find the time.

April 23

Wednesday, 30 minutes cardio, 100 crunches, ate properly, pretty tired today, sure could feel the body aching today from yesterdays upper body workout. No pain no gain.

April 22

Tuesday, 30 minutes cardio, 8 super sets, 2 each ,15 reps , upper body only , a bit sore .Go Canucks!

April 21

Monday, full workout 20 minutes cardio, 3 sets of 15. Received my new program today, looking forward to starting it tomorrow.

Easter Sunday , no workout or cardio , had turkey for dinner.

Saturday, full workout, 3 sets of 15 reps, 100 crunches, 20 minutes cardio, eggs for breakfast, cottage cheese for lunch, hamburger for dinner (whole wheat bun). Happy Easter everyone, lots of snacks through the day.

April 17 

Thursday,  No workout, no cardio , very busy with work, ate salad , chicken, cottage cheese , brown toast, orange ,apple

April 16 

Wednesday, full workout, feeling stronger , hungry as a horse, 20 minutes cardio , 45 minutes on the weights , 100 crunches , ate chicken all day , time to sit on some hay and watch the hockey game. 

April 15

Tuesday, cardio  20 minutes ,  full workout tomorrow. Ate properly.

April 14

 Monday.  Full workout, 20 minutes bike, 45 lifting weights, 100 crunches, ate properly.

 Sunday, full workout, 100 crunches, 30 minutes in bike, usual weights, one of my sons joined me today, boy can he run on the treadmill, I think he enjoyed it. Need to get focused on my diet still not under control

 Saturday, no workout , ate right, getting a little off focus, don’t know if its my diet or I am just tired.

Friday, full workout after missing yesterday, still having problems with my diet.

Sorry I can not be there Sunday, its baseball season and I have two boys who come first, but I would like to meet everybody when the opportunity comes again.

  Thursday, go Canucks! Missed my first workout since we started this transformation, just to tired to get out of bed this morning, full workout tomorrow.

 Wednesday , full workout , 20 minutes on the bike , 45 minutes lifting weights, 100 crunches, ate properly again! John my body fat has not changed much ,I guess I will have to drop that low cal beer I have been drinking.

 April 8

 Tuesday, 20 minutes on bike, 100 crunches, ate properly, still hungry.

April 7

Had my 2nd assessment tonight, don’t feel like I’ve made the progress I thought I had, only lost 6 and half pounds , but they need to compare the 1st assessment with the 2nd. Had full workout this morning 20 minutes on the bike, full weight workout 40 minutes. Ate properly, not looking forward to three more months of chicken.

April 6

Did nothing all day, watched hockey, 2nd assessment tomorrow.

April 5

Saturday, full workout, cardio  20 minutes on bike, 40 minutes on weights, had dinner out , cheated, ate a few items I should not have .

April 4

Friday, cardio  20 minutes on bike, cheated had a Hamburger for dinner, I will never forget the mouthwatering juices that ran down the side of my mouth, mixed with Ketchup and Mustard as well as Low-fat mayonnaise, it was good. Full workout tomorrow

April 3

Thursday, Full workout again, so tired walking in to the gym, I forgot it was only bike today, 20 mins on bike, 50 mins weights, feeling very tired still, Hopefully I get a new gourmet diet next week.

April 2

Tuesday, 20 mins bike, full weight program 40 mins ,100 crunches, ate properly, still tired.

April 1

April fools day, full workout, 20 mins bike 45 mins weights, ate properly. Still feeling very tired .

MARCH JOURNALS 

Mar 3 

Well here’s the first of many entrees, I am very frustrated we have not started yet, I had put all my thoughts and energy into getting mentally prepared for starting Mar 1st,  I await my instructions to begin my transformation.

Mar 4

Does any one have a list of creative recipes so we get through this lol. I have been reading some of the other journals, everybody's in the same boat (Be Strong) My notes will be short, I do this all day at work .I have started changing my food habits with the help of my wife, she’s is making an effort to change the whole families eating habits including a few other ones, that I don’t want to get into today (just kidding) Ter&Jo, she has been making me these incredible lunches and snacks for me to take to work. So Ter if you are reading this Thanks! I have not started my program yet, I am waiting for my consultation, and I can’t wait.

Mar 5 

Probably had one of my worst weeks at work ever and its only friggin Wednesday. Get my consultation out of the way tomorrow; my wife might be more beat up than I am, just trying to feed me all this no-fat stuff . I could eat a cow right now. Regards

Mar 6

Well it finally happened, one on one with the big guy, I received my papers and some kind words of advice from John today. Lets get started! I learned one thing though, one day at a time, if I go to fast I might get injured or set myself up for failure, so I am taking John’s advice and slowing down to the pace he’s setting for me. My wonderful sister Eileen called last night, she had a laugh when she saw my mug shot on the internet Anyway its nice to know she’s reading the Journal and supporting me. I felt a bit better today than I have all week.

March 7 

Friday, bad day for self control, started out at the gym changed my routine as John suggested and only did what was required, forgot to eat breakfast before I left for work, ate a nectarine in the car driving downtown and some carrots, then I did not eat again till 1.00 PM, then we had a appreciation day for 66 of our employees, BBQ steak and chicken fajitas, I had a little of everything, sorry... boy did I feel guilty, which is a good sign I hope, anyway my wife’s not too impressed cause she’s the one making all my lunches.  My sister called from Ottawa and they are now following www.bodiesnmotion.com  (John maybe we should start a TV show, some of the reality shows on now are crap!) I am starting to get the hang of this Journal writing and what it says. If there is some transformers living in White Rock that would like to work-out and support each other please email John, I am sure he would give you my email address. By the way my boss and I seemed to have patch things up, we are both bull headed sometimes but we both mean well. Cheerio

March 8

Went to gym before I left to go to the USA for a tradeshow till Sunday, this is a challenge for me, I am surrounded by a bunch of overweight boozers and steak eaters (sounds like me) I did not participate, I am eating whatever is not fattening, salad, low-cal dressing, cottage cheese etc….. being on the road and trying to do this is difficult.

March 18 

Good workout this morning, cardio 20 mins on bike, 45 mins on strength, 100 Crunches, 2 sets of 20 reps each on all the exercises John gave me, little sore tonight, really finding my left side quite a bit weaker than my right especially when lifting above my shoulders, but I am feeling stronger every workout. I am also getting very comfortable going to the gym. By the way I have mentioned before how much easier it is having support from my wife, who makes sure I eat right, my sister law Jojo wants everyone to know she also has a 2 boys 11 and 12 yrs old and a full-time job to take of as well , Jo  I hope you feel better now. Cardio only tomorrow. Gotta go and pluck some feathers.

Mar 19 

Rode bike for 30 mins, did 100 crunches, ate all the right foods, Full work out tomorrow. Getting pretty tired of eating Chicken. Hopefully that will change soon. People are noticing I am losing weight, good sign things are working.

Mar 20 

Full workout this morning, 20 mins cardio , 40 mins weights, 100 crunches. Don’t like my diet anymore, having bad urges to eat other food, like BQ Red Meat. Received Johns email today, boy is he ever working hard, maybe we should keep our Journals a little shorter and to the point till he gets caught up. I will start today.

Mar 21

Full workout today , ate all the right food ,plus had a treat, small piece of steak at dinner, cardio tomorrow

Mar 22

Great workout today, switched some of my weight program from lose weights to the machine.

Big difference, still did my crunches the old fashioned way. Did 25 minutes on bike. My body seems to be digging it, now I just have to get my mind digging too. Slowly I am feeling much healthier. Just got to keep it up, still have 13 weeks to goody off tomorrow, John I know you told me to go slow, but I am going to the gym 6 days in a row taking Sundays off, I might go for a swim tomorrow and that will be it. I will call your assistant this week to set up a meeting with you.

If you are going to increase the amount of calories expended you are going to have to increase food consumption.  However not BK or any of the other tempting choices you have mentioned.  Its good to feel like you want to push harder, but everything is in a perfect balance and if you disrupt that balance some of the results become unfavorable.  I would wish you could just be a tad more patient . . you are coming up to your one month soon, this way I can assess you and get an accurate account of what's been going on in relation to your changes.  Hold her steady big guy . . please have faith in the process!!!!

Sunday!   Day of rest. My body feels good, looking foreword to working out again Monday.

Mar 24  

Monday , 20 mins  bike, 50 mins  weights and  100 crunches. Ate all the rights foods.

Mar 25 

Tuesday, rode bike 20 minutes, ate properly, full workout tomorrow. Still hungry.

Mar 26

Wednesday full workout 20 min bike, 100 crunches, 50 minutes weights, ate properly again.

Getting the farts quite a bit, let one go in the office today, people were scrambling, must be all those fruits and veggies. Bike only tomorrow.

Mar 27

Thursday, 20 minutes on the bike, ate properly, still hungry. Full workout Friday coming up.

Mar 28

What a day, had a great workout, really felt good, I look forward to working out now, so when that feeling happens for all you other transformers, you are on your way, no matter what happens now, whether I win this transformation (which I entered to do) I have one won already because after I finished my workout at 7.00am rushed home got ready for work, made sure the kids were set for school jumped in my little white rabbit with the top off, (grooving to Marvin Gaye) drove in to Van for 9.00am start, I was hit with some devastating news , but because John and his staff picked me to do this challenge, I was much better equipped to deal with it than I would have been in the the past, because not only am I fitter, so is my mind, so I am a winner already.
