Being a 45 year-old
father and husband is a challenge in itself. Every
morning I get up ready to take the bull by the horns
with all the opportunities that life will bring up
to me today.
Every single day my
two boys Sam (11) and Cody (12) are looking forward
to getting out of school to come back home and wait
for me to go and play one of their favorite sports:
Hockey or Football. When we go to the field and I
try to run as fast as they do, I find it difficult
to keep up…why? Because I need to lose weight and
get my body back in shape.
Cody often comes and
asks me "Dad, why is your belly getting bigger
and bigger?" or "Why do you always play
football with us only for the first 10
minutes?" And my answer always is,
"because I’m 45, because I’m 45 and I’m
too embarrassed to say I’m overweight" And
when I think about it, I realize that extra weight
and lack of exercise are stopping me from being the
role model I want to be for my kids.
I am a Sales Trainer.
Part of what I do on a daily basis is sitting down
one-on-one with the employees I coach and talk about
their goals to achieve the results they want. It is
funny and rewarding at the same time, to see that
most of them are getting the results they planned.
Why shouldn’t I?
I need to change my
life. I am sure that 16 weeks of hard work and will
power will do the work. I cannot wait to live a
long, healthy life to enjoy it with my boys and my
wife Terry. I know I have what it takes to make this
drastic life change. I AM READY.
